What is Twitter, Facebook?

I am trying to understand the language used on the internet. I now understand what a blog is and I have created one at www.jobsearchgetthatjobfast.blogspot.com

Now what I want undertand are the following:


1. What is a Twitter and how does it work?
2. What is the Facebook and what is it's purpose?
3.What is myspace?
4. What is communities?

Are there any differences between these groups?

I have so much questions about the terms used on the internet that I want to understand, but I think the above four questions will do for today.
